A Tribute to Ed Garcia

To all,

I am writing this to let Ed Garcia know what a huge, life-changing difference he has made in my real estate investing career and life.

Ed, I met you in New Orleans in October, 2001 at the How to Get Lenders Fighting to Give You Money workshop. From the second I met you, I knew you were the guy who could help me take my newly founded real estate investing career to the next level.

Well I was right. 45 deals later, $300,000 richer, and a line a credit for $200,000 proved to me and all of my friends and family that you were as serious as a heart attack.

Ed Garcia, what can I say, besides thank you. I sincerely can not say in words how much I appreciate what you have done for me. You are the most dynamic, intelligent, hard-working businessman I have ever met, and you have literally changed my life in more ways than you will ever know.

In case you don’t know, I want to share just a few of the ways you have helped me. Here we go:

1. Helped me (a 25-year-old kid) secure a line of credit for $200,000 at prime plus 2, 70% LTV.

2. Helped me open my eyes to more profitable ways of exiting my properties I worked so hard to get.

3. Helped me fine-tune my negotiating skills (and people skills), which in turn, has forced me to make better deals in record numbers. Heck, your little technique about “asking for more than you think you will get” earned me $50,000 on one deal alone.

4. Helped me realize that all of us will only accomplish what we “think” and “believe” we can accomplish, so why limit yourself to one or two deals, go for the big money, and if you work hard and truly believe, it will come to you.

5. Gave me the confidence to sit down with the PRESIDENT of a local bank, present my business plan to him, sell him on my business, and in turn secure a line of credit. The confidence and support alone was worth every bit of it.

The funny thing is, nowadays, I really don’t care who someone is or what their position is, I can talk to them with confidence and know that what I am doing is substantial, meaningful, and very profitable. Heck, I make more money than 99% of the people I know or meet. You gotta love it!

6. You helped me help others, in turn, allowing me to help myself, once again. How? Easy, when I help others out with the information you give me, they respect me and look up to me, in turn, they want to do business with me. I have established a very nice wholesale business by just helping others make money.

Ed, I could go on and on, but, I think you get the point. You have really changed my life and for that, I am thankful. I consider you like a father to me. You have always been there for me when I needed you

I could not have accomplished what I have without you, and honestly, the BEST decision I have made in a long time was when I got on that plane (by myself, age 25) to come see you in New Orleans.

Thanks for everything. You have paid for the Lender’s Workshop many times over, actually I am waiting for you to bill me for something… consultation, beer, phone calls, whatever. Don’t get any bright ideas. Love ya, man, talk to you soon.
