Want to invest, but am currently out of the countryIs it possible to do this long distance?
Ok, I've been reading this forum for weeks now and my brain is about to explode from too much info. While I'm sorting through and absorbing it all I was wondering what advice any of the pros here would give someone in my position; I don't have actual REI experience but have read a lot about it off and on over the years. I have about $60,000.00-plus right now that I could invest or use as reserve if I decide to begin with Lease Options (as is suggested many times here), good credit, and am a veteran eligible for VA home loan benefits which usually includes a loan guarantee.
The downside is that I currently work overseas and won't be back in the U.S. for good until at least another year or two. I make great money doing what I'm doing over here but it ain't going to last and anyway, I don't want to stay here forever, plus, I don't want to miss out on the current RE buyers market and was wondering if there was any way to do a deal or otherwise get started in REI from a distance while the current market is still hot? I get trips back to the U.S. every 6 months or so but even then, would doing this ling distance even be advisable? Anyone have any ideas how long the market will be like this?
Please, any help or info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
