True that the recorded judgement is for that county. However, the
credit reporting agencies absolutely use the recorder's office. Check
out any credit report and it will have a section where all recorded docs
that have any negative impact are reported. Tax liens, judgements, etc
will be there. Most fed ands state tax liens don't have court cases so
you can be sure they don't skip reporting on recorded docs. As for
court reporting, I'm not so sure about that as I've seen plenty of reports
with judgments picked up as recorded docs but no mention of any
court cases. I've never seen a report with a BK so don't know what
court reference they use for that. Kristine
