Foreclosure temporarily ceases ALL collection actions; period. Foreclosure is an act on behalf of a creditor to collect a debt. Bankruptcy court is a Federal Court and the power of their action applies a temporary "stay" to any collection action of a creditor. Attempts by a creditor to collect while a court stay exists is a violation of fed'l law.
