THIS Realtor learned all this very early......commissions arent much on $100,000 homes. I got into it learn a little before starting to invest and to handle my own deals.
What I learned is that ALL agents pitch that "real estate is a great investment" but most dont eat their own cooking.
I love hearing the agents in my office try to talk to investors........just clueless really.
To do it again, I would pass on the license (more of a liability than asset).
Sounds like you may have read "The Millionaire Next Door".
Interesting that they found in their last study prior to publishing the book that 35% of Auctioneers were millionaires.
In 2-3 years I plan on doing ONLY my own deals.....this market especially makes me loathe working with most people. You know the old saying "buyer's are liars and seller's are worse"
