I can tell you as a northeasterner, the cust. service SUCKS here on all levels: private AND public sector. Tell someone politely that you need something asap and you WILL get moved to the back of the line. Go to a cust. service window or counter and all you see are "NO " signs. NO CHANGE GIVEN AT COUNTER, NO EXTRA PENS AVAILABLE, NO PERSONAL CHECKS ACCEPTED, NO EXCEPTIONS - you name it we forbid it.
