Although a Foreclosure will hurt your abilitiy to buy Housing there are many ways to buy a house without conventional financing....
If you Choose BK then all of your types of credit lines are hosed.... and it is highly probable that a BK would lead to a foreclosure anyway as most people do not realize how fast their Balance grows on a mortgage in that is in a BK if they are not current or do not stay current during the BK..... this my be different state by state but if I had to choose I would do a Deed in Lieu of foreclosure if my home was what was causing the financial strain...
