Many of you all know I consider chocolate my highest-yielding investment (it even resulted in a free lunch for 2 today), but I have to agree w/David.

I think one of the reasons most folks seek financial well-being through REI is so they eventually w/be in a position to do good works. However, it is my firm belief that if we commit to acting in ways to help others that we almost automatically increase our wealth. That's why the goals I set @ the beginning of the year included what I planned to give, as well as what I wanted to receive.

Not having extra $$$ is no excuse. You still have time & energy, & you can inspire others who do have ca$H. I literally started a charitable project w/an empty shoebox a coupla months ago & already the community response has been so great that likely we w/meet our goals before the year is out.

Cultivating a "Spirit of Abundance" (not my phrase) not only fills the soul, but your bank account, too.
