FHA only requires 3%. I am sure you can put down more but for them to ask you to start lying throws up a Definite RED FLAG.
Start asking LOTS OF QUESTIONS. FHA is very flexible as long as you can PROVE you are eligible. It is not only based on Fico scores.
sounds a bit fishy in my opinion. I have done FHA twice and was great!
