im a mortgage broker and im in the process of financing a doublewide. the original HUD plate has been removed from the end of the home and the entire inside has been remodeled (new cabinets, doors, windows, floors, etc.) nowhere on the home is there any trace of the HUD plates except the tiny rivet holes left where the plate has been removed some years ago. the owner has managed to climb around under the home and found a plate on the frame with the year, make, model, and serial number but no other info.
we have already used this info to get a new title and a new deed with correct info on it. we now need the HUD numbers off the home and have no idea how to get it? countrywide is requiring us to have this number on the appraisal.
any ideas?
