My 2 cents is that if all your tenants/rentals are a major pain in the butt then you didn't screen properly.
An effective manager shouldn't have major problems w/ rentals.
Again, just my 2 cents based on my own experience (much learned the hard way) of about 5 years managing 2-10 rentals at a time.
