I bought a 1997 14x70 2br2bt in Portage, Indiana, last September for $2,500. I've put about $5,000 worth of work into it to make the interior nice. There's maybe another $1K to be done (new skirting, new front and back doors, painting the roof, replacing a couple floor panels) and it will be gorgeous.
Unfortunately, due to other problems, I have run out of money, and can't finish. Can't even afford to pay the lot rent. Do you have any suggestions on how I can unload this home quickly? At this point, I don't even mind taking a big loss on it. It's better than defaulting on the rent.
I've painted the exterior, but the ugly old skirting and the unpainted roof are giving it bad curb appeal, so after two months, I haven't been able to interest any viable end-users, even with financing.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex
