Default Former Tenant files bankruptcy - Posted by Roy

Posted by Roy on February 18, 2004 at 06:45:32:

Evicted former tenant has filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy and included a judgement that I have for back owed rent. Is there anything that I can do to protect my interest, or can I kiss that money good bye? Thanks

For all intensive purposes it's gone. Unless they get moved to chapter 13 (unlikely) or unless they have over 15K in assets.
